Hannah Marshall (Walker) charged with assault

HANNAH MARSHALL, wife of Wm. Marshall, of Hoton, was charged by Mary Anne Till, of the same place, with an assault. Complainant stated, that she had rented a house of defendant, and was to give up possession on Monday last. On the previous Wednesday, however, defendant came and demanded the key, which complainant not being willing to give up, a scuffle ensued, and defendant ultimately wrenched it out of her hand. She was convicted of the offence, and order to pay the costs.
