BOROUGH POLICE, Monday. - Before J. Snow. J. Gilstrap, B. Nicholson, J. Brandston, Esqrs., and Dr. Thompson. - George Lawton, the younger, of Tenter Buildings, was brought up on remand for stealing a greyhound dog the property of Mr Maden, of the Trent Brewery, on the 8th December last. On investigation, it appeared that there was not evidence sufficient to convict the prisoner ; he was therefore discharged.
