Sheriff Summary Court. - At this Court yesterday, before Mr Sheriff Arkley, Thomas Greenwood, miner, Bradford, was charged with assaulting Mr Hamilton, farmer, Woodmuir, West Calder, in his own house, on Thursday evening, with malicious mischief in breaking in the door of the latter's dwelling-house. The prisoner pleaded guilty, and in extenuation said he was drunk when he committed the offence. The Sheriff sentenced him to pay a fine of ?2 or go to prison for thirty days.
